The mechanics seminar focuses on technique to control drive states, transitions…when to move ahead from one small behavior to the next, and using various markers to create clear communication. These skills are useful in any aspect of dog training!

Building the FSA (Foundation Skills Assessment) from Start to Finish

Presented by Bob Deeds

The FSA is becoming the accepted format for many certifications and is such a fun way to build connection with your dog! This seminar focuses on setting up a game plan, what to start first, using directional control to become an asset as a handler. We have tons of agility equipment, distractions, and large areas to work here at Jenner’s Run.

Human Remains Detection

Presented by Teresa MacPherson

Teresa will share her extensive experience training and handling HRD dogs. With lecture and lots of field work, she will cover an introduction to HRD, blinds, multiple source problems, as well as buried and building search. Every handler will have many opportunities to perfect the indication. For advanced teams, this seminar will be followed by the opportunity to attempt the SARDUS (Search and Rescue Dogs of the United States) HRD evaluation.
